Thank you for visiting the Pensacola Chamber's 2008 legislative and elections website. We have partnered with the Florida Chamber of Commerce to provide you with all the information you'll need to become proactively involved in electing pro-business candidates and voting on legislative issues in next year's elections.
As results of the last few elections have shown, races can often be won or lost by only a few votes. Unfortunately, voter registration and turnout have plummeted over the past 50 years and the U.S. now has the lowest average voter turnout among mature democracies.
Your elected officials serve to represent you and your views, but they need to hear from you to know how to do so. You are in the best position to engage and educate them about how laws and regulations impact your business. Click on the "Take Action" button on this site and let your elected officials know how you feel about the issues.
With the 2008 election season heating up, click below to find the latest voting registration information and requirements, locate your polling place, and learn more about the candidates running and the issues at stake.
Most importantly, take the time to get educated and involved in the 2008 elections. Voting is a privilege that cannot be taken for granted, and your vote will make a difference!
